This new exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the history of life and the village, featuring fossils, ancient artefacts unearthed from the ground, photographs, drawings and paintings – all bearing witness to an artistic and poetic exploration of the space between heaven and earth.

This new exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the history of life and the history of the village via a rich collection of fossils, a collection of ancient artefacts unearthed from the village’s soil, as well as photographs, drawings and paintings that bear witness to an artistic and poetic exploration of the connection between heaven and earth:

What traces remain of the earliest forms of life?
Ammonites, fish, reptiles and plants encased in stone: the fossil collection of Yohan Sarrasin, a passionate collector and restorer who lives in the village, tells us a story that has vanished.

What is the origin of life?
In water, in dust, the birth of an embryo of life, the wonder of origins, of the place where we take root… a series of drawings, paintings and photographs by Cyrielle Couvrat, a visual artist and resident of the village, alongside images by Gabriel Meunier, a photographer, poetically explore our relationship with life and its origins.

What are the traces of our past?
Coins, jewellery, fragments… the collection of found objects by Frédéric Roussé, a resident of the village and a keen metal detectorist, who patiently scours the ground in Brangues in search of traces of our ancestors, tells us an intimate and forgotten story of the village.
