Family cycling route: ViaRhôna and the Étangs de la Serre
Family bike ride (29km, easy) on the ViaRhôna! From the Blue Valley to the medieval city of Quirieu, head to the Étangs de la Serre (ENS). Fishing, nature observation, playground and picnic. A natural and secure itinerary.
Enjoy an easy and family bike ride of 29 km, completely secure on the greenway!
Starting from the Base de Loisirs de la Vallée Bleue, this itinerary takes you to discover the natural and heritage treasures of the banks of the Rhône via ViaRhôna.
The highlights of the course:
Relax by the water: Enjoy the soothing atmosphere of the Blue Valley and its many water activities before you set off.
Historic Stop in Quirieu: Take a cultural break (about 30 min) to explore this unique medieval site. Perched on its limestone hill, the castle and its fortified village offer an exceptional panorama over the river.
Nature Immersion at the Greenhouse Ponds:
Sensitive Natural Area (ENS): Discover two large ponds (8 and 6 hectares) rich in biodiversity. In summer, enjoy free nature outings with a guide to observe the fauna and flora.
The paradise of fishermen: Carp, pike, tench and roach populate these waters.
Family Break: Everything is planned for your comfort: playground for children, toilets and drinking water point to fill the bottles.
An ideal outing to combine gentle sport, culture and picnic in the open air!
