Bike Challenge (51km) in the heart of L'Isle Crémieu! From the countryside roads to the Maison Forte de Brotel, join the oppidum of Larina and its panorama on the Rhône. Finish with the Pond of Lemps to meet the turtles Cistudes. Sporting level.

Lovers of heritage and wild landscapes, embark on this cycling expedition of 51 km (difficult level) through the reliefs of Isle Crémieu. Starting from the Blue Valley, this demanding course rewards you with exceptional historical and natural sites.

The milestones of your itinerary:

La Maison Forte de Brotel ("The Eagle’s Nest"): Perched on its rocky spur, this 13th century building dominates the Val d'Amby. Discover its singular history, from its construction by the Laure family to its function as a house arrest for the statesman Edouard Herriot during the Second World War.

The Archaeological Site of Larina: A true balcony on the plain of the Rhône, this rocky spur was in turn a Gallic oppidum and vast fortified domain in the Middle Ages. The remains are freely accessible and offer a fascinating journey into late antiquity.

Tip: Don’t miss the heritage museum to deepen your discovery of the site.

The Pond of Lemps: A nature break is necessary in this wetland classified 23 hectares. An educational trail and an observatory (accessible for people with reduced mobility) allow you to admire the aquatic fauna.

The highlight of the show: Keep your eyes open to see the European pond turtle, a rare and protected turtle, recognizable by its yellow spots, which has found refuge in these peaceful waters.

A complete course for curious athletes, combining physical challenges, historical immersion and observation of the preserved nature of Nord-Isère.
