Cycling tour : exploring Saint-Sorlin, the village of roses

Following the old towpath of the ViaRhôna, this easy route takes you to discover three local gems, between historical heritage and preserved nature:
Sault-Brénaz and its history: A must-see stop to discover the remains of the Roman era and the traces of barbarian invasions on the site of Colombier.
Saint-Sorlin-en-Bugey, the "Village of Roses": Nestled between cliffs and Rhône, this picturesque town has preserved its old houses.
Walk up the church, a typical alley with flowery facades.
Admire the superb fresco of Saint-Christophe (16th century) on a historic facade.
Join the church of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine for an exceptional panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.
Lagnieu and the Pré Grand Park: Continue along the bike path to Lagnieu. The public park offers a forestry and educational circuit. It is the ideal place to learn to recognize the tree species of the region while having fun.
An ideal outing to combine soft mobility, culture and fresh air on the banks of the Rhône.
