La Chaud ascent
Beautiful gradual climb with panoramic views of the lakes of the Matheysin plateau and the Vercors, towards the unfinished station of Saint-Honoré 1500. The descent at sunset is sumptuous!
From the car park opposite the La Mure train station, go down rue du Breuil, then turn left towards Valbonnais, and follow the D114 towards Nantes-en-Rattier/Alpe du Grand Serre/Col de Malissol. In Nantes-en-Rattier, at the roundabout, take the direction of Laffrey/Villard-Saint-Christophe/Saint-Honoré to the hamlet of Fugières via the D115. There, take the D115c on the right towards La Chaud to begin the climb itself, regular and sustained for almost 7 km. Descent by the same route.
