This Renaissance château, classified as a Historic Monument, has retained its Italian elegance. It bears the imprint of its illustrious architect Sebastiano Serlio and its sponsor, Cardinal François de Tournon, personal adviser to François I.

In the Year of Our Lord 1564, the young King Charles IX, accompanied by his mother Catherine de Médicis, came to sign the Edict of Roussillon at his host's Château on August 9. He thus made the new year begin on January 1st throughout the kingdom of France...
