Introduction to caving at the St Aupre cave with Acet'eau
A half-day visit to a beautiful introductory cave ideal for young children to discover caving. It's a great way to discover the many facets of caving, both sporting and environmental.
Located in the commune of Saint Aupre, 10 minutes from Voiron and 30 minutes from Grenoble, the Saint Aupre cave is the ideal place to discover caving with your family. After a 15-minute approach walk through the woods, we arrive at our cave. This underground journey allows you to discover the beauty of the Chartreuse's underground environment. In the first large room, we may be able to observe the bats that inhabit our cave. The rest of the route is a succession of obstacles, some of which require the use of a rope to descend (4 metres maximum). There are numerous concretions (stalactites, stalagmites, etc.) along the way, and your guide will be delighted to tell you all about their origins.
Open all year round, even on rainy days.
