As the cradle of equestrian tourism in Isère, it's hard not to fall under the spell of the Trièves, a region so dear to Jean Giono: pleasant trails for mid-mountain enthusiasts and views of the Vercors and Dévoluy peaks...

In this bucolic land of contrasts, the Alps and Provence rub shoulders. Under the gaze of the famous Mont-Aiguille, the region's emblematic limestone tower, your horses' steps will be guided by the discreet call of the nearby bell towers.

We've put together an itinerary that allows you to discover the most beautiful parts of the Trièves - 5 days for a memorable tour:
Day 1: Roissard (Espace Equestre du Trièves) - Mens (Gîte de l'Obiou) - 15 km
Day 2: Mens - Tréminis (Chris Cath) - 15 km
Day 3: Tréminis - Lalley (Camping Belle Roche) or Clelles (Gîte de Mialaure) - 14 km or 23 km
Day 4: Lalley - Chichilliane (Ferme Equestre des Quatre Chemins) - arrival at the foot of Mont Aiguille! - 18 km
Day 5: Chichilliane - Roissard - 23 km

Here you have a very complete version of the Trièves circuit, but feel free to concoct your own version! Forests, fields, villages, mountains, water... in every season, the Trièves offers sublime scenes of nature.
