The road over the Col du Sabot is only open in the summer and for many centuries marked the entry into France from Savoy. When Savoy became part of France, the road fell into disuse...much to the joy of cyclists!

ROUTE
From Vaujany, follow signs for Le Collet up to the Col du Sabot - an 8km unspoilt climb through pastureland. Return along the same road.
