Notre-Dame du Bel Amour or Madonna of the Windmill
For over sixty years, Our Lady of the Windmill in Sermérieu has watched over the ancient windmill tower of Ossée. This statue of the Virgin and Child measures over 3 metres in height. Mounted on a column, it has weathered the elements and was restored in 2007.
Every other year, the parish of Saint Peter of the Land of Colours takes it in turns with Concharbin oratory to celebrate mass here on 15th August, following a torchlit procession along the Ossée and Collonges footpaths. The site can also be reached from Morestel via the hillside path and the Madonna trail.
