Comptoir des Curiosités
In the heart of the medieval town of Crémieu, the Comptoir des Curiosités brings together local artisans. From decorative items and jewellery to textiles, ceramics and photography: discover unique and original creations to keep or give as gifts, to suit all budgets.
Tucked away in a typical alleyway in the medieval town of Crémieu, Le Comptoir des Curiosités brings together a collective of local artisans and designers. This shop showcases artistic craftsmanship and handmade items through unique, sustainable pieces inspired by nature: basketry, felted wool, flame-worked beads, ceramics, paintings, photography, textiles and original jewellery.
Throughout the year, the venue changes with the seasons thanks to temporary exhibitions and guest designers who stay for six-month periods. This collective of craftspeople comprises permanent members as well as guests at certain times of the year. The permanent members are :
• Gaëlle (Nakiru Création), dressmaker
• Myriam (Atelier Nicomy), felted wool
• Jodie (@jodierey.art), illustrator and watercolourist
• Cécile (@la.fleuriste.des.salon), paper flower designer
• Mariette (@mcividinoreynaud), photographer
• Fred (@le.rat.a.la.plume), visual artist
• Emmeline (@demoiselleterre), ceramicist
• Fanny (Perles au chalumeau), glass bead maker
There are currently two unique worlds to discover: Sylael’s poetic assemblages of forgotten objects, and Champ Libre’s creations made from local dried flowers.
A place to browse and discover, the Comptoir des Curiosités caters to both passing visitors and locals looking for a gift, a souvenir or a unique item, carefully and thoughtfully crafted by local artists. It also serves as a platform to showcase, connect and support local craftspeople.
