Great climbing routes around Trièves

Long-distance climbing around the Trièves (5-day course, beginners or advanced)

This course is aimed at climbers capable of doing 6a routes with top-roping in SAEs or 5c routes in crags.

The Vercors Trièves is less well known than the west of the Vercors for big-pitch climbing, but it's nevertheless a very good base camp from which to explore different cliffs with very varied landscapes and atmospheres.

Here's an example of a program (to be adapted according to the season) for an introductory course starting from Monestier de Clermont:

1) Mont Aiguille: Tour des Gémeaux (20 min drive)
2) Le Piéroux (Les gicons, Devoluy): "Gicon d'Agneau" (1h)
3) Le Gerbier: "De fil en aiguille" (35 min)
4) Gorges du Drac: "même pas peur!" or "looking for 6a"... (40 min)
5) Aiguilles de Bénevise or Archiane: "le pilier de la lavande" (45 min)
Alternatively, if you're willing to drive 1h30 further afield, the possibilities are endless: Presles, Ceüse, Orpierre, Matheysine, Oisans, Mont-Blanc...

I can also accompany you to more distant destinations that I also know well: Calanques and Cap Canaille, Corsica/Bavella, Morocco/Taghia, Jordan/Wadi-Rum...
