AROUND SAUTET LAKE
Go up the tributaries of Lac du Sautet - the Drac and the Souloise - and cross the Pellafol plain, under the impressive east face of the Obiou.
Departing from Corps, head towards Gap via the national 85/Route Napoléon to Le Motty. The descent is steep and traffic is often heavy, so be careful. Likewise, the crossing on the right towards Le Glaizil/Beaufin is not very visible, just at the foot of the descent. So stay vigilant. Continue on the D217 towards Ambel then Monestier d'Ambel until the junction with the D537 where you will have to take on the right towards Pellafol/Corps. Just before this junction, a refreshment stop at the Sources des Gillardes is imposes.The return is via the Sautet bridge, its dam, its belvedere, and its Via Ferrata. At the end of the route, stop at the Sautet nautical base to refresh yourself before heading back to Corps!
