Alpe d'Huez Tour du lac blanc
From the Pic Blanc 2 arrival station, enjoy views of the lake all along the loop. Caution: several technical sections.
Access: Grandes Rousses area
You can start from the Pic Blanc 2 station at 2,700 m.
Difficulty: very difficult
One-way time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Note: Swimming is prohibited
- Wear hiking boots rather than sneakers on mountain trails
- Bring rain gear (the weather changes quickly in the mountains), sunglasses, a hat or cap, sunscreen, a bottle of water (or baby bottle), and a snack
- Do not go too high in altitude with a baby under 1 year old (risk of ear infections)
- Stay well-hydrated (especially children)
- Choose hikes suitable for the children’s ages (duration, elevation gain)
- Take regular breaks
You should also remember to:
- Check the weather forecast
- Check the ski lift schedules
- Familiarize yourself with the route
- Protected plants, wildlife, and minerals are part of the landscape. Please respect them.
- Take all your trash with you. Recycling bins are available at the resort.
- It is recommended that you keep your dogs on a leash.
- During your hikes, you may need to cross cattle pens. Please remember to close them behind you.
- You may encounter herds of sheep grazing. Guardian dogs are there to protect them. They are not trained to be aggressive but are trained to act as a deterrent.
