Balade champêtre en VTT autour de Brié et Angonnes
Set off on a 22km mountain bike loop on the hilly plateau of Brié et Angonnes and Jarrie.
Itinerary reserved for seasoned athletes. Some points are quite technical.
Route details
Start from the Herbeys town hall parking lot, next to the village church.
Follow the yellow signs.
Head towards the hamlet of Noyaret. Continue along the path towards the crêtes d'Herbeys. You'll enjoy lovely panoramic views over the Vaulnaveys le Haut valley on one side, with Chamrousse at the summit, and the Vercors foothills and Grenoble valley on the other.
After a short, slightly technical descent, you arrive in Brié. Head towards the town hall and St Pierre church, then turn towards Haut-Brié and Mont Rolland to reach Jarrie.
You'll pass the Château de Bon Repos, which rises out of the valley.
Then follow the road to the Réserve Naturelle de l'étang de Haute-Jarrie. Follow a path towards the Golf international de Grenoble-Bresson, then join Brié at the Tavernolles traffic circle.
Take the path to Chapelle des Angonnes and return to Herbeys on the D112. This road winds its way up to your starting bridge.
