The archaeological site, designated as a historic monument, features the ruins of a medieval mining village and its silver mine.

The Brandes Municipal Cultural Department offers guided tours (panoramic trail, the village of Huez, and a historical walk through the Oisans Maquis). The itinerary is available via audio guide.

- Wear high-top shoes instead of sneakers on mountain trails
- Bring rain gear (the weather changes quickly in the mountains), sunglasses, a hat or cap, sunscreen, a bottle of water (or baby bottle), and a snack
- Avoid going too high in altitude with a baby under 1 year old (risk of ear infections)
- Stay well-hydrated (especially children)
- Choose hikes suitable for the children’s ages (duration, elevation gain)
- Take regular breaks
You should also remember to:
- Check the weather forecast
- Check the ski lift schedules
- Familiarize yourself with the route

- Protected plants, wildlife, and minerals are part of the landscape. Please respect them.
- Take all your trash with you. Recycling bins are available at the resort.
- It is recommended that you keep your dogs on a leash.
- During your hikes, you may need to cross cattle pens. Please remember to close them behind you.
- You may encounter flocks of sheep grazing. Guardian dogs are there to protect them. They are not trained to be aggressive but are trained to act as a deterrent.
