A restaurant that looks like a mountain "guinguette", a place with a difference that we have designed to be just like us, namely warm and relaxed.

Romain Brun, owner and crystal enthusiast, calls his restaurant "Café de la Gardette". This is because the village of Villard-Notre-Dame is home to the Mine de la Gardette, known worldwide for its unique quartz crystals.

Romain, grandson of a miner and great-great grandson of Fareillets (as the local inhabitants are known), feels guided by his ancestors and wants to share his work and passion in his village, so dear to his heart.

This is how he became an enthusiastic chef, serving a simple and authentic cuisine that uses seasonal products from our local producers.

Short supply chains and tasty dishes are his speciality!
