Champeau pond

Follow the banks of the Eau d'Olle to its confluence with the Romanche, then continue on to the Champeau pond.
From the Tourist Office, cross the Place du Château Tranquin, then follow the path along the aiguille d'Escalade. Walk past the skate park, then turn right to join the voie verte. This follows the right bank of the Eau d'Olle for about 1 km before crossing a footbridge to reach the left bank, which you will follow for 800 meters.
Stay on the greenway, and about 250 m after crossing the Eau d'Olle bridge, you'll reach the "La Passerelle" bus stop. Cross the road to reach it, then the footbridge over the Eau d'Olle. Turn left to continue along the path on the right bank of the river.
After 1 km of gentle walking, you'll reach the confluence of the Eau d'Olle and Romanche rivers. Follow the path along the right bank of the Romanche for about 600 m, until you reach the Champeau pond.
This bucolic site is ideal for a nature break or family picnic.
In spring, keep an eye out for families of ibex!
