Château d'Abel Servien, dit château "Serviantin"
This remarkable Grésivaudan château consists of two L-shaped buildings, spiked with 3 towers. It underwent a long architectural evolution from the Renaissance to the 19th century, and was home to 4 generations of the Lords of Biviers (1500 to 1655).
The château, whose shell dates back to the 13th century, was extensively renovated from the Renaissance to the early 19th century. Medieval in appearance, it comprises two angled buildings: one resting on a square tower of more massive construction, probably dating back to the Middle Ages; facing Belledonne, the other, rectangular in plan and flanked by 2 round towers, must have been built in the 15th or early 16th century. The window mullions on the main façade were removed during remodelling work in the 18th century.
The château is a memorial to statesman Abel Servien. Two 17th-century marble statues, one of Venus, the other of Bacchus, adorn the garden lawns.

Panels retrace his long career, a video presenting the Peace of Westphalia, a 3D video showing the Château de Meudon in Abel Servien's time, and a brochure.
