La Citrière is a house of full of character located in the heart of a typical Oisans village, on the edge of the Ecrins National Park, a departure point for cycling (mountain biking and passes) and walking (GR54), 30 minutes from Les 2 Alpes and Auris, 40 minutes from La Grave and La Meije.

The gîte is on the second floor of a traditional Bessate house. The entrance hall and terrace (garden furniture and barbecue) are common areas, to be shared with the second La Citrière gîte.
From outside, guests can contemplate the immensity and peacefulness of the surrounding peaks.
The interior of the gîte is authentic and functional. The kitchen area opens onto the living room, equipped with a sofa bed that can be used as a double bed. The sleeping area has a bedroom (2 single beds), bathroom and toilet.
For the comfort of its guests, the owners have equipped the gîte with facilities such as a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, TV/cable and freezer. The gite has a private parking (in summer only).
Discover the ancestral traditions of shepherds in the Maison des Alpages or explore the hiking and mountain bike trails.
In winter, when the snow returns, put on your ski touring shoes or snowshoes and enjoy the slopes of the Emparis plateau.

From Grenoble take the N85 towards Briançon, through Bourg d'Oisans and onto the Lac du Chambon. On the other side of the dam, follow signs for the Vallée du Ferrand. Drive through Mizoen and then through the village of Besse en Oisans. 500m further on, there is a path on the left marked GITES LA CITRIERE.
