/ From Séchilienne town hall: follow the D113 for about 200 m. On the left, take a small lane and then a path that climbs up and crosses the D113. Note the ruins of the Alleman château: dating from the Middle Ages, it belonged to the Alleman family until the 16th century, and was used as a refuge during the French Resistance.
/ Opposite, take the Luitel ascent route, first through Les Pavies, following the signs, then through Les Aillauds, Les Blancs and Les Nodes, before reaching the Gorge. After crossing the road to continue straight ahead, take a path cutting through a bend, and at the entrance to Les Clos, continue along the D113 for about 500 m.
/ At l'Echarina, turn right and follow the path to a track leading through woods and meadows to La Croix; continue along the D113 to the Maison de la Réserve, then turn left at the building and follow a path through the undergrowth, overlooking Lac du Luitel, for around 200 m, before joining Chemin Vernet and then a crossroads signposted "Lac du Luitel".
/ Follow the Chemin Vernet (towards Mont-Sec), then pass the Baraque Pagnot for around 400 m. Note the magnificent view of the Chartreuse de Prémol. Turn left just before a hairpin bend, via the source of La Globasse, La Roche, then La Croisée. Note: magnificent views over the Romanche valley and Taillefer massif). Descend to the Col de la Madeleine, before following a track on the right that joins the route de Séchilienne.
/ Continue downhill on the left, following the road for around 300 m, before taking a steep path on the left, towards Séchilienne, which, after crossing the road several times, leads to Les Thiebauds. Follow the road back up for several metres, then turn left in the hamlet onto a track that leads to the hamlet of La Bathie. After crossing the hamlet, continue downhill, crossing several small roads.
Near Chamoussières, turn left down to Les Mouniers, then follow the D113 for about 300 m, finally taking the right-hand path back to the Mairie.
