In the heart of the medieval town of Crémieu, just a stone’s throw from the cloister, the restaurant Les Terrasses des Augustins invites you to enjoy traditional cuisine inspired by specialities from Lyon, the Ain and the Isère, in a friendly setting.
The menu changes with the seasons and prioritises locally sourced and French produce wherever possible, ensuring freshness and quality in every dish. A daily special is also available, ideal for a gourmet lunch break in Crémieu. Vegetarian options can be prepared upon prior request.
When it comes to the wine list, the restaurant stands out for its fine selection of nearly 50 wines, the vast majority of which are available by the glass. Wine lovers will particularly appreciate the Beaujolais, Burgundy and Rhône Valley wines, which have been carefully selected to complement the dishes.
On sunny days, Les Terrasses des Augustins reveals its full charm thanks to its two outdoor areas:
- a sunny terrace facing the avenue, perfect in spring and during the shoulder seasons,
- a second terrace facing Place de la Nation, which is secure and particularly suitable for families thanks to its pedestrian-friendly surroundings.
In the afternoon, the venue transforms into a relaxed and welcoming spot where you can enjoy a drink, a wide selection of cocktails, a homemade hot chocolate prepared by the chef, or homemade ice cream.

To make the most of your visit, don’t miss the summer concerts. Throughout the summer, concerts are held in Place de la Nation, in partnership with local restaurants. The friendly, musical atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a meal or a drink on a terrace in the heart of Crémieu.

From 01/01 to 31/12 on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday between 12 pm and 2 pm and between 7 pm and 9 pm. On Sunday between 12 pm and 3 pm. Closed on Wednesday and Thursday.
