In Bouvesse-Quirieu, in the hamlet of Le Bayard, Ô Relais des Gardes welcomes you to a fully renovated former farmhouse, just 600 metres from the ViaRhôna and right next to the hiking trails of the Balcons du Dauphiné and the Bugey for the more energetic.

It's the ideal place for a cycling stopover or a nature-filled getaway, in a peaceful setting perfect for switching off and unwinding.

This Accueil Vélo-certified gîte offers everything needed for cycle tourists: a secure bike storage area, a cleaning point, and a charging outlet for e-bikes. You can also park your vehicle safely in a gated courtyard.
Odile, the owner and a keen cyclist herself, will be happy to share ideas for routes accessible straight from the gîte—whether you're continuing along the ViaRhôna or exploring circular rides through the surrounding countryside of the Balcons du Dauphiné.

The ground floor has been recently redesigned to provide a step-free accommodation for up to 4 people. It features two comfortable bedrooms (one with a 160 cm bed, the other with two 80 cm beds), a bathroom with toilet, a bright living/dining room and a fully equipped independent kitchen. One of the bedrooms is suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

For larger groups or families, the upper floor can be opened as an option. It includes two additional bedrooms (each with a 160 cm bed), a bathroom with shower and bath, a separate toilet, and a small desk area—bringing the total capacity to 8 guests.

Outside, enjoy a furnished terrace, a pétanque court, and a barbecue—ideal for relaxing after a day of adventure.

The medieval site of Quirieu is also within easy walking distance, less than 10 minutes away.
