On horseback: Tour du Signal
This mountainous route takes you around the Montagne de l'Homme, via the Col de Cluny and the resort of Auris en Oisans. You can enjoy it on your own horse using the GPS map or contact a riding school.
Starting from Alpe d'Huez, this is a perfect ride for people of all abilities as it follows both roads and tracks. Enjoy the wonderful views over the Ecrins mountains.
Starting from Alpe d'Huez, follow signs to the Col de Sarenne via the Altiport. Follow the road to the end of the valley and then signs to the right to the Col de Cluy. As shown on the map, ride around the Signal de l'Homme, firstly via the Col de Cluy and then Auris en Oisans. Ride up the track to the Col de Maronne, before finishing the circuit by returning to the Col de Cluy. You then ride back to Alpe d'Huez on the same road you took at the start.
