Samblue Mountain hut
A chalet situated at 1475 m . A the beginning of differents hiking tracks, little and medium distance but here starts also the famous hiking track of The Trièves : "la grande tête de l'Obiou". There is no gard in the shelter, available on phone or by email.
The Samblue refuge is located in the heart of the Pellafol forest. It is accessible all year via a forest road open to traffic (except during snow or ice conditions) and by a footpath.
The refuge is divided by:
- The ground floor: a living and dining room with a wood stove, wood cooker, tables, chairs, and benches, as well as dishes and cooking utensils; a kitchen with a sink and running water (not supervised), gas stove (3 burners + oven); a sheltered balcony with mountain views.
- Upstairs: a double bedroom and a dormitory, equipped with mattresses with covers and extra blankets.
- Below the ground floor: accessible via a trapdoor and stairs from the living room or from outside, there is a wood storage area, 2 toilets, and a cold shower.
Outside you will have the access to the forest, an open view of the Obiou mountain, and a barbecue area.
