St Barthélémy de Séchilienne church

  • Historic site and monument

The church of Saint Barthélémy in Séchilienne has its origins in Roman times and sits impressively in the centre of the village, surrounded by its cemetery.

A simple chapel of the Séchilienne parish, it became the church of Saint-Barthélémy de Séchilienne at the end of the 17th century.
Major restoration work has reopened a beautiful Romanesque window in the choir, which has since been adorned with a contemporary stained glass window.
