Unguarded refuge: the Poyet hut
The hut of "Poyet" is initially intended for forestry workers but left open to the public. There is no reservation possible or keys available.
We maintain it regularly and to the best of our financial possibilities. Flights were carried out (a mattress and a stove) but thanks to a donation from the municipality of Sievoz, a new stove was installed.
Fountain nearby.
The interior is very clean and welcoming: Bat-flanc with mattress, table, benches and chairs, shelves with kitchen utensils, stove, gas cooker.
Used regularly by NFB officers.
Route details
By car from Nantes-en-Ratier, go to the Malissol pass. Then follow a forest road towards the hamlet of Poyet. Park shortly after the Grande Combe.
On foot, follow a path that goes up towards the Fontaine de Bigasset and the Piquet de Nantes (yellow markings). We find the cabin shortly after an intersection with a marked path coming from Poyet.
