ITINERARY
From Le Bourg-d'Oisans, head for the Pisse waterfall on the voie verte.

The path rises through the woods and becomes more aerial, giving you the opportunity to discover the unobstructed view of the Vénéon and Auris- en-Oisans.
The hike then becomes more difficult, mainly in the forest, on a steep path with a few cabled sections and a crossing over a "monkey bridge". This wild and spectacular route along the waterfalls of the Rochail stream offers magnificent views of the waterfall and the plain.
Villard-Notre-Dame, with its centuries-old church, welcomes you at the end of the climb.

Then link the two traditional villages, the highest perched in the Oisans, by the trail that leads to Villard-Reymond with a well-deserved moment of flatness. The well-marked trail starts behind the Villard-Notre-Dame church, then joins the forest track. The panorama over the Romanche valley, the Oisans mountains and villages is superb! Then take a (very) short detour to stroll through Villard-Reymond.

From Villard Reymond, return to the Col du Solude. The descent is via the path that was, just a few centuries ago, the only access between Le Bourg-d'Oisans and Villard-Reymond for the inhabitants... and the letter carrier! This is an opportunity to admire the slate support work on the laces. The path winds its way up steep, well-marked switchbacks through a beech forest to the Bourg-d'Oisans lookout and town center.
