From Pas de l'Aiguille to Pas de l'Essaure - Guided hike
This beautiful, little-travelled hiking trail, which runs from Pas de l'Aiguille to Pas de l'Essaure, will take you to the high plateaus of the Vercors and the Combau valley, offering breathtaking views of Mont Aiguille and an iconic site of the Resistance.
The Pas de l'Aiguille is one of the gateways to the Hauts Plateaux. A major Resistance site (1944) with a dedicated memorial, it gives an idea of the plateau's strategic location. It's also a special geological area that we can tell you all about.
The reserve, the heart of the Park and France's largest terrestrial reserve, is an ideal place to observe the mountain flora and fauna, which are highly protected in this environment.
Further on, a small valley leads us to the second, less-travelled step, which allows us to descend again, but first to admire Mont Aiguille and the eastern foothills of the Vercors.
