Le Châtel or Bonnet de Calvin - Guided hike
A very accessible and pleasant summit, offering a magnificent 360° panorama of the Ecrins, Dévoluy and Vercors.
The first part is very forested, dark at first, gradually clearing up before reaching the alpine meadows, with a clear view of the surrounding peaks, including Obiou just ahead.
The summit dome is very comfortable, allowing you to take your time admiring the panorama from the orientation table, from which you can see the Vercors, Trièves and Écrins, and of course the Obiou, which dominates the surrounding area.
The descent is on the south side, with a short rocky section, then again a beautiful larch forest.
