Le Rognon - Guided hikes

A very accessible itinerary leading to a viewpoint overlooking the great faces of Dévoluy, Trièves and Vercors, with the other massifs of Isère in the background.

The hike begins at the edge of the beech forest, and allows you to soak up the forest atmosphere, observe a few animal tracks, and then the mountain pastures, occupied in summer. The shepherdess is never far away.

The view opens up to the Grand Ferrand and many other nearby peaks. The proximity of the area makes it easy to identify the many human and wild trails. In summer, many birds flock to the cliffs. Spend some time observing them through binoculars.

The ascent to the summit of Rognon changes direction, inviting us to contemplate the Vercors and the Trièves basin, find its many villages, observe the more distant lakes, and identify the massifs in the background.
