La Magnanerie
Housed in a former 17th-century silkworm farm restored by its owner, La Magnanerie offers an authentic and intimate setting in the heart of the hamlet of Énieu, in Bouvesse-Quirieu in the Balcons du Dauphiné.
A keen collector of antiques, Élisabeth has created a warm and inviting interior design that blends locally sourced finds with souvenirs brought back from her travels, giving each room a unique atmosphere.
On the ground floor, guests have access to several welcoming living areas: a lounge with a fireplace, a bright dining area and a more intimate vaulted music room, complete with a piano. In fine weather, the terrace and garden are the perfect place to relax by the saltwater swimming pool, in a peaceful setting ideal for unwinding.
The house offers two spacious and tastefully decorated guest rooms.
The Cocon room, located on the second floor, features a 160×200 cm double bed, a seating area and a bathroom with a toilet.
The Madeleine room, situated on the third floor, is ideal for families, with a 160×200 cm double bed and two 90×200 cm single beds.
Breakfast is served on the ground floor or on the terrace, weather permitting. It features simple, high-quality ingredients: hot drinks, organic bread and seasonal fruit. A more substantial or savoury option can be provided on request to suit the needs of active travellers.
Subject to prior booking, guests can also enjoy the table d’hôtes, prepared exclusively using local produce and, wherever possible, organically grown ingredients. These meals offer the chance to enjoy a convivial moment together, savouring the flavours of the region.
Awarded the ‘Accueil Vélo’ label, La Magnanerie is a popular stop for cycle tourists travelling along the nearby ViaRhôna route. Cyclists have access to a secure, fully equipped room for storing their bikes. It is also possible to leave bikes and luggage there after checking out, so you can continue exploring the area before setting off again.
